In munich you can find a really extraordinary building: the BMW Welt, created by Coop Himmelb(l)au.
I visited it for the first time in 2008, which also was my first year in architectural photography. At the end of 2011 I had the opportunity for a short stopover at the BMW Welt and I used this chance to take some new pictures. I published one of these shots in January. Now I had the time to finish the whole series.
Both times I visited the building, I had a very cloudy and foggy weather, which fits perfect to this building.
Last week I was again in munich and I saw the building for the first time at sunshine. I also made some pictures, but I don’t think that I will publish them.

Eigentlich sagt mir deine Bearbeitung bei Architekturaufnahmen meistens zu, aber bei der Serie wirken mir die Bilder zu “clean”. Gerade die ersten paar sehen eher danach aus, wie wenn das Gebäude noch nicht gebaut wurde und nur auf dem Papier als Konzeptzeichnung existiert.

Ich muss sagen ich finde gerade eben, dass die Bilder so clean sind, passt wunderbar zur Designsprache des Gebäudes.
Einzig stören mich im ersten Bild die Autos. Mit einer Langzeitbelichtung (und entsprechendem Graufilter) könnte man das beseitigen – aber nichtsdestotrotz gefält es mir trotzdem.
